The pace of construction has picked up at the new Higgins with more work areas framed in recent weeks. The construction crew is averaging over 95 tradesmen working on site per day, and will soon reach 120 or more. Steel beams, columns and deck are now completely installed and floor slabs are 95% complete. Interior partitions are being installed in the classroom wing, along with HVAC ducts and plumbing piping.
If you have driven by the school lately, you will see that exterior brickwork is moving along quickly on the classroom wing. The roof is already installed and window installation begins the last week of June.
The work remains on time and on budget, with a Grand Opening in September, 2016.
